Tonights check produced otter #5.  This Comstock is blocking a culvert under a driveway.  Otter #2 was caught on the other side.  Funny how they can get around a gauntlet of traps and get picked up somewhere in the middle.

Nice work on the otters. I saw otter tracks in the snow at several spots today.

Two nice beaver in the cages last night.  One in the culvert set blocked with Jim's two door cat trap and one in a 12x12 Comstock.  Fresh beaver chewings nearby and the dam break has been partially repaired.
Tweekers robbed the landowner this week.  I believe I saw the culprit on Tuesday driving an old white van slowly down the street.  Landowners have seen the same slow moving vehicle on a couple occasions just before the gate was rammed and some old farm equipment was hauled off.

Lots of active beaver this weekend.  Pulled another one out of the culvert set tonight.  The comstock was pushed about a foot back making an opening that another could slip past.  I think another beaver pushed his way through after this one was caught. This one makes it 5 beavers and 5 otters at this site.
