Sturgeon
« on: November 30, 2017, 10:23:10 PM »
Just thought I would ask if anyone knows of a good Columbia river guide for sturgeon? My father and I have never caught them before and its on my bucket list. I was going to pay for a guide for the 2 of us to go in april for his birthday/Christmas present. I'm going to get him other things obviously but I just thought I would put the feelers out for any good info. Price range I have seen is like $150-$225 a person for a full day with 2 people. If the guide is really good I will probably book a couple more trips in the future for us like springer fishing and steelhead fishing. Thanks in advance guys!

To me April is not a great time of year to fish the Columbia for sturgeon. The estuary really starts to heat up in June. You can wear your arms out if you fish with a good guide. The Willamette can be pretty hot now through about April. 30 fish days shouldn't be too far out of the question.
