Lots of public land in that unit, if can hunt the Far East side of it he could get a muley buck. Read the boundary areas, shouldn’t be that hard to find a place to hunt, good bench leggers in the east side of it.

Upon further review your buddy is screwed if they don’t open the pass up. His unit is east of the closer.  :yike:

Watch the pass report, if it opens hit it, hunting could be really good. :twocents:

Don't worry your boundary starts a little east of Bacon cr  there is plenty of ground to hunt between there and the highway closure.
I'll send you a pm on a couple places to check out.

Thats not a good boundary description where you cross Hwy 20 and the Skagit river, so I am assuming the boundry is just east of Bacon cr at the big sign that says Ross Lake National Recreation Area

Keep in mind when hunting in the ROSS LAKE NRA, it’s governed by the North Cascades National Park. And you have to be 1/4 mike away from roads, trails, buildings basically anything man made. :bash:

You won’t find those refs in the state hunting refs, it’s in the parks compendium written by the head park ranger.
