Female Buck?
« on: November 28, 2017, 10:16:12 AM »
2017 Late season meat hunt. Conditions were all out of whack. Lack of snow, Rain and windy, 45 degrees average temperature. 46 yard heart shot.  Thought he's a 3 point Buck... latter, I found out that he is a Pope and Young Doe!  :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:This female Buck  :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:had antler base of over 8 1/2 inches but fell off during the recovery and didn't have family jewels. lol :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

Don't know about yours but mine was in tremendous shape and excellent eating once you trimmed about an inch and half of fat off the back. Hope the same for you!

Good kill, no matter the gender.  Seems we see a couple of these trannies each year.  Congrats.

Yielded about 50 lbs of clean organic meat. Yum. That's what hunting is all about.

I was standing I got the taxidermist shop this year dropping off my buck when a father and his 16 year old daughter brought a buck in that she had shot. Twig but no berries.
