Dump 3 or 4000 pounds a week so they can all share.

Only two buckets Aday, I use more grain and some apples, but once on grain, bears are not so bad

If a bear finds your stuff the only thing you can hope for is that he goes to sleep soon. The apples bring them in but once that bear gets a taste of corn or grain of any kind....he's a grain eater for life.

Never had a problem with bears and grain, they might mess the feeder up once looking for something better, but no problems after that. When baiting was legal for bears, we did it for 20 years, and could never get them to eat cob with any desire, maybe flowers bear pellets👍, but not sweet cob, unless I mixed it with doughnuts.
Boy, those where the days. And some big-ens

I baited bears for years too. When given the choice between doughnuts, grease or other fruit, no bear is going to choose whole corn or sweet cob....especially in Saptember or October.

In December.....on the East side....natural forage is scarce. When a bear finds a deer hunter's bait pile (usually alphalpha, corn and apples) that bear is going to eat corn like they weren't going to make it again.

This year was paricularly bad for several of my hunting partners and corn eating bears. One buddy never even used any apples. He had 2 big boars on a daily basis as late as last week.
