"Go fund me" for an old trapper in Arkansas

If your're feeling generous tonight, and haven't spent all your Christmas funds yet, here's a good-old-boy (and his wife) you could help-out this Christmas.

I'm cynical about the "go fund me's" that are out there and wonder if everything that's printed is true.    Once a person hits 65 they get social security and medicare.

^^^^^^^
I would agree, however, I believe this guy has bee vetted fairly well (by other trappers). I argue a little with you about social security and medicare, I don't think an 80 year old and his wife can really survive on those benefits alone. Apparently the guy has worked his entire life as a "farm helper" in Arkansas, it wouldn't surprise me if he didn't make much over minimum wages the entire time.
I know of an old guy who worked his whole life in a lumber yard in Oklahoma for minimum wage. We have it pretty good out in this part of the Country as far as income goes.
