ISO MT Partner

Hey Everyone,

So I am heading to MT this fall for Whitetail. Bought my tag last week and just got the unfortunate word that my hunting partner can't make it over, due to some family concerns. I have a landowner lined up, and he has 30 acres of property near Missoula. I have already set up the deal, and am not asking for anything in return regarding the land use, but help with gas, share groceries, etc etc. And just to find someone who would be willing to make the trip with me and attempt to kill a deer, would be great! The landowner would like 2 people hunting at one time, in case of the unlikely event of an injury while out walking. He has allowed us to stay in their home, in a furnished apartment downstairs. So it's a great set up; we would of course be very respectful of their home and space. I have not hunted here before, however, he and his family and others have killed bucks consecutively, and last year 3 were taken. I believe there is around 100 head. It is an open property with a slight hillside and some patchy trees. The general season opens October 22. He is leaving around the 7th or 9th of November to go down to his winter home in AZ. So we only have that window to go. I was planning on venturing over between October 26-31. If you are interested please message me. I would like to connect with someone and have some beers or coffee and get to know you before we make this trip. It's always nice to have a good partner and working relationship before setting out on a road trip and adventure like this.  Non resident cost for a general deer combo license tag are $590.00, and with fees, it comes out to be around $630.  If you are ok with the price, and would like to make a new hunting acquaintance, please let me know!  Thanks for reading. P.S. as I am sure many of you are aware, these are not Mule Deer draw tags, and are first come first serve OTC. So please take note of this for making a decision.
If I'm not selling, I should be hunting, If I'm not hunting, I should quit!

I may be up for that, I'll have a deer tag for sure and haven't figured out what to do with it.  There is an off chance that I might be hunting the elk rifle season if I don't get anything in September and can take the additional time off.  Do you have any plans for elk out there or just deer?

I usually hunt elk primarily and then take any deer I can find for the freezer, so my standards are not high.  Last time, I shot a 1x2 that was about 100 yards off the road feeding on an irrigated piece of state land on my way back to elk camp, so this sounds like a great deal to me.
