Saskatchewan Whitetail - Where to Hang?
« on: March 25, 2018, 12:27:29 PM »
Moving into a new house soon. Any ideas on what room it should be hung. House has two bedrooms, one office/bedroom, kitchen that opens into dining room. I’d like to eventually would like to build a gun room/man cave where I could hang it but that may be a few years down the road.

Whatever room has either the tallest ceiling or spot people won't have to duck under it. Nice buck

Living room is the correct answer   :chuckle:.

Area with best ceiling allowance. All things being equal, the living room!

If it were me, I would hang it somewhere prominent, that is a sweet buck. It would bring a smile to my face every time I got to see it. Probably some good memories from that hunt.

Thanks for the compliments guys. The taxidermist did a nice job but my only complaint is he did not really capture how thick the buck’s neck actually was.

It scored 174 4/8. Measured by an old pro with credentials.

Here’s a pic:

GREAT Buck. Unfortunately, I think saying he didn't capture the neck is an understatement. Was it done in WA? Something you could do is get one of these wood prints done with your photo (I like them in sepia or black and white) and hang or place next to the mount.

Last day dinker huh? Maybe next time.... But seriously WOW !  Don't hang it in the office if you plan on getting anything done - you won't be able to stop yourself from staring at it and re-living the hunt. Thanks for sharing.
I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies

In November U.S. manufacturing contracted for the the ninth consecutive month. Layoffs across the economy are higher than anytime since the pandemic in 2020 and I just read that the Midwest farmers will be receiving a 12B bailout due to 50 year trade relationships being destroyed. I have to admit that I was a sceptic and didn't believe in the effectiveness in tariffs but I'm a believer now.
