For you guys that really want to chase spring bear, ID is over the counter and several areas have Non-Resident bear tags at $32+/-.  So they have some wide open spaces, plenty of bears and the tag is only $32ish.  And you can bait em if you are so inclined.

You can get two bear tags for $32 each and I don't think lion is open, but I'll double check for ya.  There are some perfect places to call.  Biggest problem with that area is how long the snow sticks around can limit access to certain areas.

that sounds like a party if ya ask me. I have never hunted Idaho, that would be fun and fairly cheap!

Actually the season opens up 1 April, but I doubt you can even get close to most areas without a snowbobile and I highly doubt the bears will be out much if at all.  The Tags are $31.75 and the non-resident hunting lic is $141.
