Lake Roosevelt Water Level
PROVISIONAL DATA - Subject to change
The elevation of Lake Roosevelt was 1222.2 feet above sea level at 3 p.m. on May 1, 2018. The level of the lake is expected to remain in the 1221.5 – 1222.5 range through May 4. Refill of the lake is predicted to begin on May 5.
At this time, Lake Roosevelt is below the minimum 1232 feet elevation needed to operate the Gifford-Inchelium Ferry. The lake is predicted to reach 1232 in the May 10 – 12 timeframe.
Grand Coulee is operating to meet the flood control elevation of 1222.7.
Flood control is the MAXIMUM allowable level of the lake in order to be able to accommodate the spring runoff. Elevations may be lower than the flood control elevation due to power operations, river operations, drum gate maintenance, emergency situations or other unforeseen circumstances.
The lake level target provided in this report is only a prediction and subject to change without notice due to power operations, river operations, emergency situations, changes in weather or other unforeseen circumstances. We are going in late June. Last year we caught 13 in two days. Two oversize (100 and 300 lbs) and 6 under size. With this years slot. We probably would have only kept 2. Still, the fishing was a blast.

With the current water levels. It's a great time to go peek at the river bed. Even with the great fish finders it reveals a ton of info.

Various launches all along Roosevelt but they are dependent on water levels.

This link gives launch levels and locations. Talked to a person today who was at the sportsman show in Spokane this spring and was also given the same information.
Since there has not been a Dinosaur season for over 20 years You might get a Biggie!!! 

Last year Plugger was in the Governor's wally cup fishing came thru the armada of boats on the river. Since Sturgeon fever hit the river last year. A place to fish was relative easy to find just look for the buoy balls at anchor.
A word of caution Lake Roosevelt can whip up some great water. I have made wally runs that one part of the river is as flat as your kitchen table and come around the next bend and you can be in 3 foot swells.
