Banks lake updates/tips
« on: June 20, 2018, 06:19:01 PM »
I’ll be taking the family over to Banks Lake for a week soon. I’m just wondering if anyone has any updates or tips for fishing. I’ll have my 18’ Searay and a couple kayaks. We’ve had some success in the past on walleye and smallmouth, but hoping to continue to learn and improve our fishing there. I’d love to get my girls on a few more fish this year. Any advice or updates are appreciated thanks

Where are you guys staying at on banks?  About this time last year we had success with walleye 20-25 ft deep trolling bottom bouncers/ worm harnesses.  Keep searching for different depths until you find some,  a lot of the time they will be in the same area.  Good luck

We’ll be staying at sunbanks. I’ve fished quite a bit near steamboat, but looking to do a little better. Thanks for the tip. Last year I bought a map that has water depths so I’ll pick out some in that range then dial it in with the depth finder

Can't remember what cove we were in,  it's east of devils punchbowl. I know the in laws got their limits last weekend.  Will try to get some more info from them.
