GMU 520 Winston Muzzleloader Cow Tag
« on: June 24, 2018, 10:48:50 AM »
My son and I got drawn for muzzleloader cow tag in GMU 520.  We also have the Weyerhaeuser permit.  Haven't hunted that area before and don't get the key until August 1st.  Any intel available?

Other suggestion jump off the 550, and work your way into port blakley land,  very few people go that far into PB

Good luck, 20 years ago, you couldn't throw a rock up in that country and not hit an elk, now you'll be lucky to see one. The Weyerhaeuser permit will help with being able to access all the country, but elk will be hard to find, and if you do find some, I'm sure they'll have hoof rot and be limping.
