Archery Malaga Cow Elk
« on: June 20, 2016, 03:15:52 PM »
Well, this year i drew the 2268 MALAGA archery cow elk hunt. So that hunt is in the Elk Area 2032 September 1-9th. I was hoping that someone on here had drew that tag before and could give me some more information about their experience and possibly a couple spots to start scouting. I live up in Chelan so it won't be too hard to sneak down this summer quite a bit. Any Info is appreciated! Thanks.

Looks like I'm archery hunting a cow in this area, would love if you could give me any pointers. Not looking for your honey hole, just any tips to the area (unless you want to give me your honey hole). Mind PM'ing me?

I also drew the archery cow tag this year. I don't know this area very well but have been doing a lot of google searches, PM's, phone calls. I still don't have a ton of info but trying to get more. Id like to get some boots on ground soon. I hunted the other side of the pass during general season last year and it was like a circus. Looking forward to this hunt and the absence of people. Hopefully we can all get onto some animals.

edit: instead of bringing up these years old threads, why don't you PM people instead?

Just remember most of this unit is private property and the land owners are sick of trespassers so make sure you know where you are at or you will be having a pretty expensive conversation with the sheriff. Unfortunately the few disrespectful have ruined it for the rest of us, most land owners will not even give permission anymore

Plenty of Elk. Plenty of public land.

Sounds like fun. Watch out for poachers!
