Troller deckhand needed asap
« on: July 05, 2018, 12:56:00 PM »
Unfortunately, my current deckhand's fiancee is having some serious pregnancy complications, and he's got to go.  So, looking for a person to step on asap.

Based out of Sitka, we'll be trolling for chums and freezing FAS coho and (some) kings thru mid Sept.  I have a contract to fish another guy's spot prawn pot permit in October, a pretty lucrative opportunity.  After that, we'll hit the first few weeks of winter kings and likely be all done by Oct 31.

This is an amazing lifestyle that includes very long hours for weeks on end, dealing with whatever weather Mother Nature has to offer, and no chance of finding your 15mins of fame and fortune on the Discovery Channel.  You won't get rich doing it, but if you love fishing, Alaska, the ocean, and the opportunity to challenge yourself and find out what you're really made of, this could be your opportunity.  Both men and women encouraged to apply - there are a good number of legit female deckhands in the troll fleet.  This job takes a mental toughness more than physical brawn.

If interested, or if you can personally vouch for a friend or relative you think would fit the bill,  please PM me.

Thanks,

Chris

Wishing I was 10 years younger again.
I hunt, therefore I am.... I fish, therefore I lie.
