Charter/Guided Salmon fishing near White Salmon?
« on: August 14, 2018, 06:01:31 PM »
Hey folks,

I'm planning an anniversary weekend for my wife and I August 24-26, and was wondering if 1) that would be a decent time to go salmon fishing around Hood River / The Dalles and 2) if you could recommend a charter/guide service?

We're familiar with fishing in general but have never pursued salmon, and we don't have a boat or any tackle besides light spin gear for trout.

Thanks in advance for any tips/help.

Never fished or hunted with them but heard good things and will be right close to you.

Craig Mitchell is great, but steelhead is now closed in Drano and Deschutes. Some other great guides are Shane Magnusson Upper Columbia guide service ,Jacob Munden Munden Rising Son Adventures and TJ Hester Hesters Sportfishing. U would not be disappointed with these guys they are fantastic at these fisheries.
