Im sorry and I feel for you.

After i lost my first hunting dog i refused to get another one. After a year my wife told me she loved me but i was a miserable SOB. If i didnt  get another one soon she was going to pick one for me... So i did & it made me feel better.

Words are not enough, many of us know exactly what you are feeling and those who do not unfortunately will someday. They are part of our lives and  the good ones are part of the family. Look at the pictures, savor the memories, and be thankful for the awesome 15 years you shared!

Sorry for your loss, buddy. I still have a hard time talking about my yellow dog.  He’s been gone 5 years now. His photo still hangs in our living room.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield
