Humboldt Marten proposed for ESA listing
« on: October 11, 2018, 11:36:43 AM »
I asked WDFW about if this could affect our coast marten. They do not have a clue although it seems unlikely. Very little is known about our coast marten but the Columbia river is an insurmountable  barrier to genetic overlap with Humboldt marten. Still I see no good coming from this in respect to trappers in Oregon. Nobody is trapping them anyway but this could be used to restrict trapping for other animals.
