Ahtanum State Forrest
« on: November 07, 2018, 01:55:36 PM »
I was wondering if you guys can enkighthen me about this unit. Elk area 3681. I was wondering if any of you guys have any pointers for me. PM is good. Weather, snow level, spotting location or even road conditions during the late hunt. I will have 3 days to find, kill, and pack out a spike or a fat cow.  I have never hunted for Elk during the late season in WA. So I am very excited to take the new Martin Hunter recurve out for the first time. :hello: :IBCOOL: :hello:

Roads are pretty crappy and bring chains. Goes for all roads in the yakima units.

I remember the second week last year was a skating rink on many roads even with all 4 chained up.
