and though I have seen some world record class whitetail in this state, I cant say they have hung around long enough for me to get a photo, let alone get an arrow in, so maybe thats why I usually shoot 140-150 whities.

This looks like my deer :)

Outcome was kind of a bummer as there was some issues and was not able to get back over to finish the hunt so he ate the tag. Was hoping for a better response but sometimes hunting needs to be put on the back burner.

Man, that sucks. I can't imagine having a raffle tag and eating it.

Does anybody know what day raffle tickets go on sale?  I remember last year it was pretty early in the year when i asked at the store, and they were available.  Cant find the date in regs though.  Id like to get in right off the bat this year.

It is a bummer but he is not out a bunch of money though thankfully as he only bought one raffle ticket and got drawn. So thats good at least. I don't remember when the raffle tickets go on sale but it didn't really seem like it was all that early to me. Would of been pretty neat though to get a really big whitetail this year along with the big moose he got. We actually took a couple days during moose opener to hunt a 150'' buck that kept showing up mid day but never got a chance at him.
