MALO WA whitetail
« on: November 14, 2018, 10:17:12 AM »
I have access to 160 Acres(1 mile long strip) in Malo Wa. I am taking the whole family over for a family trip and plan to bring my bow to check out this property. It is across from all the fields In Malo. I am heading there blind and may try to hunt one day. What tactics should I use? Its late Bow for any whitetail deer. Looks to have alot of trails via Sat images. Should I have high hopes? Also should I buy a turkey tag to have just in case I see any? Any input would be greatly appreciated. I do plan to check it out mainly to prospect hunting there next year for the early bow season but am hoping I may get lucky while I'm there.

I would see if you can find a good active trail and set up on it. That 160 is not to big and you can blow the deer out with to much pressure. If you have a ground blind all the better.

Yes, there's plenty of whitetail around there, I can't imagine not seeing some kind of action seeing it's hot into the rut. I also see a lot of turkeys around there too. Do what carpsniperg2 said  good luck.

I lived in that exact area. PM me and I'll tell you what to expect. Also, I don't know any rancher who gives permission to hunt that unless you're family.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

I think Fishjustin87 said across the street from the hay fields, not the hay fields themselves.

Houses all up and down that entire area. Not saying it's bad, I just know everybody and the guys who are locals that have permission to hunt it. The do get some BIG whitetails outta there though.

Looking at Onxmaps there are a few large chunks of private property where you describe, some of which boarders Hancock which could extend your hunting area a bit more.
