Palmetto State armory has like 3 levels of ar . There freedom . The psa and than one other . I believe the freedom is going to be the cheapest . Every psa upper I have bought has been great aswell as my brothers . And there customer service is pretty good too . And as for aero precision they can kiss my bass . It's my understanding that wanted nothing to do with helping advertise or even contribute at all for opposition to i1639 . Sorry not trying to Jack the thread just giving my 2 cents . Anyways psa makes some pretty good stuff for wntry level are buyers !

Have heard some bad things about the Bear Creek rifles.  YMMV.

Expand on that please, actual info vs hear say?

I had some bad experiences with Bear Creek parts myself. Wrong parts sent, really bad/slow customer service to exchange them, and really poor quality on the parts that were sent. They are low priced but not a bargain.

On the other hand, I've bought a lot of stuff from PSA and have always been happy about it. Some of their stuff is lower end as well, but not as crude as BC.

I went with the S&W M&P Sport II and would again if looking for another AR.  Here's a couple links:

DPMS Oracle $390
https://gunprime.com/product/dpms-panther-oracle-223-16-30rd-ar-15-60531/

S&W M&P Sport II $460
https://gunprime.com/product/smith-wesson-mp15-sport-2-ar-15-556-nato-16-30rd-black/

Neither will be enough fire power for Bigfoot though Dan!!   :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

Thanks.

I've heard the DPMS Oracle is a good entry level AR.

Working on it....

If I was looking for a "Good shooter" in the lower price ranges, with dependable reliability, I would go for a SW MP15 or a Colt.
I would also consider the Springfield Saint for a little more.

+1 Ive had personal experience with multiple M&P sport 2's and have been pleasantly surprised. Out of the box they are a pretty good basic AR that works
