American Lake
« on: March 24, 2009, 12:27:20 PM »
My Son and I ran over to American Lake on Saturday. We only hooked one rainbow about 12 in. actually it was the only bite we had in the three hours we were there. The lake was perfect with few people out on the lake. It was great to get out.
I have a question for anyone who knows American Lake well. We used the Public ramp on the East side of the lake. Can the public use the ramp on the West Side by the fish pens? I believe that is part of the base?

Ther are 2 on the other side of the lake.
The one at the mariena is "military only" and the other is in Lakecity (park) "sea plane base". The "sea plane base" ramp is for public use.

The ramp at the public park was closed for construction.
Crunchy, the ramp we used is off Armor Drive about 1/2 mile from the Bridge of Sorrows over I5.
