Great week hunting
« on: April 30, 2019, 01:30:29 PM »
Spent a couple of days hunting in Kittitas county. I did not hear a gobble the whole time I was there. There was sign and I saw a few hens and jakes. I was able to take a jake on the last evening. He was in a group of 4 jakes that came to my calling. Headed over to the NE corner for a weekend hunt with my son. Way more birds and action. Called in three Toms for my son but he did not get one. He learned a lot about how well a turkey can see. My son called in a group of three jakes. He told me he did not want to shoot a jake. Well dad will and did. First time I have taken two turkeys in one season.
