Did they finally sell to you?
I was just telling a co worker about it and she told me they refused to sell her husband a knife. He was there with his son (12) and he was picking out a knife with his giftcard. An associate saw him hand the giftcard to his Dad. They refused to sell it. I guess this is a

Eventually they realized how asinine they were being, and sold. Still a frustrating experience for sure
