Heard of Target Sports shotgun barrel?
« on: February 26, 2019, 06:03:27 AM »
I am trying to find a good deal on a 28" Mossberg 500 barrel. I dont care so much about the finish, since it will be refinished in the process of all the work I am doing to my gun. But everything I find is close to if not over the $200 mark. Which I will pay if that is best. but I found one manufactured by Target Sports for quite a bit cheaper. Just cant find much for reviews on it. If it is still a good barrel or if I am going to have to bite the bullet and pay up for an actual Mossberg barrel.
Here is the link to the one I am talking about.

Made in China.

I am scratching my head because the ad states it is a modified, but on the bottom it states the chokes fit Browning/Winchester and H&R.

Browning and Winchester are the same chokes is it an Invector Plus or the newer DS.  H and R chokes are not invectors, neither are Mossbergs.

Why would a clone copy a 500 and put a Browning choke that cost more than that Barrel on it?

I would not do it.

More than likely takes the standard invector /winchoke tubes.  Lots of the lower end guns take them, they can be had really cheap.
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun
