Ask around the site maybe you can find a partner that would be willing to drive and save you the neck pain if you help with gas.   :dunno:  Just a thought.

There used to be turkeys up around Wenas Lake years ago...Don't know exactly where to look.everyone on here fishhunt247 and others may know of another area...other than that Klickitat or the Blues maybe the closest.  Good Luck.
Wild Turkey, Walleyes, Whitetails and Wapiti..These are a few of my favorite things!!

A friend of mine says that the Tampico area is the place to go near Yakima.

I would go up to the Teanaway. I think the bird population up there is the greatest in central WA. Klickitat (sp) county as well I have never seen any down there but I have heard them gobbling. If you want some info about teanaway just pm me.

I saw some almost every day last year next to road between Cle Elum and Hidden Valley on my way to Wenatchee, had a couple cross 97 on my way up hill also, before Index. Found Sign up Middle Fork Teanaway last spring. Chased a flock around while elk hunting up the Manastash. Was told by an older (70's) gentleman that he saw some near Observatory (between Wenas and Ellensberg) while shed hunting.......... Klickitat is southwest....... :dunno:

Hey Rutter, I noticed that there were 81 tags punched in 335 teanaway last year, that's a big jump from the high 40s that they've been holding at the last few years. Might be worth a look? Have you talked to Brenda Kane about starting disabled routes in the spring for Turkey? I'm sure if enough of you guys got together and made up a proposal, she might look at it. She also might pass it around the office for some belly laughs but who cares? I can't see that it would hurt to ask.
