Math ? on MOA

Ok math isnt my strong point and my 17 year old isnt around to ask.

So Shooting groups at 200 yards.  Outside spread is 1.41 from that I subtract .284 for bullet diameter which leaves 1.126.  How does that number then equate to MOA. I know it is somewhere over .6 MOA but help me figure the math so I can do the rest of my groups.

I come up with .54 MOA.

1.126 divided by 2 divided by 1.047.

OK not sure how it works out that way but I will take it.  divide it twice just to be sure.  Kind of like algebra don't ask just do.

One is to scale the distance, the other is to convert the angle to a length

A minute is 1/60 of a degree.   If you raised aimed or raised your scope 1/60 of a degree ( a minite of angle - moa) at 100 yards it would point 1.047” above level point of aim. At 200 yards it would be twice that.
