All launches are open. If you take a drive holler and maybe we go for a spin! I'm about 1 minute away from the east side launch.

Good bite today, got to the lake at about 5:30 which put us nicely between the early birds and late sleepers so we had no problem getting in and parked quickly.

First fish was about 30 seconds after I set the rod and it was steady until we left at about 7:45 am to get my son back for his school Zoom call.

Best depth was 15' but we picked them up off the surface longline as well.  When we left, the last 2 fish were at 25', didn't fish any deeper than that or try many different options.  Whenever I got bored and was going to change something up we picked up another one.  3 doubles and the rest singles, we managed to not lose a single fish.  We would have limited if we wanted to stay longer, but the crew was happy with a short trip and I have no need for 20 kokes.

Plenty of boats on the water by the time we left and the Lake Stevens police was prowling around the lake all morning.  Everyone was well behaved, nothing notable I saw which is a good thing.

It was awesome getting out, really improved my mood.  I might hit it another day this week and then probably throw my hat in the ling circus on Saturday.

Excellent.  I think I'll get out for a few hours this evening.

Here are a few smallies from yesterday that did not like me swimming by.

I saw a bunch of fish in the 40-50' range on the screen, figured they were something other than kokes.

Hooked and lost two this evening.  Daughter got to feel em pull and with all the boats zipping around didn't expect much. Also got off the water perfectly as its coming down now.

No, I gave it about 20 minutes while the other two rods kept going off and then ditched it for a spinner.  After that, I only changed out if we broke a hook off in the net.

I did order a batch of trout patterns to use on Sunday at another lake though.

My brother in law was in a kayak along with me....i took his jig and tried to get it to bite it but scared it off. I'd bring a catfish home for sure. Fry it up.
