Ruger Red Label O/U Shotgun ?

Was wondering that those that has them how do you like them? Yesterday I shouldered one and it felt really good. It was a 20ga. with the 26" barrel. Looking at an upland gun to hunt behind a pointing dog. Been hunting with a Remington 870 12ga. Thanks.

Nice gun built like a tank, used to be a little heavy for the guage but I haven't handled one for a long time, I picked up a used Browning Superposed Lightning 20ga for really cheap been pretty satisfied and haven't had the urge for another 20ga O/U.

Everyone says there heavy but I like the feel of them over any o/u that I have held.  I shot a 12ga for trap when I was in high school and shot a ton of 24's and 25's with it.  My dad has a 20ga that I have hunted with and shot trap with.  I shot a lot of 24's and 25's with it too.  After I sold my browning citori 20ga 5 or 6 years ago I bought a ruger 28ga.  So far it is my favorite of the rugers.  And right now I am looking at buying a 20ga ruger too.  I love red labels, they shot great and I have never had a single problem with them.  And I shot 1000's or rounds of trap with them.

I have a Red Label with 26" barrels.  It's a quick pointing gun compared to my old Mossberg 835 w/ a 28" barrel.  It is a stainless/synthetic model. I dont think they made very many of them, but its a great gun in the duck blind.  Great dove gun also.  Heck its a great gun for all birds. I've killed everything from doves to grouse to geese with it.  Some people say they cost too much, but they are well worth the money.  It came with 5 chokes also.  My suggestion, buy one. You wont be dissapointed.

I agree with "ing" The All Weather Rugers are sweet. They dont make them anymore so for us that have them they are a limited run.

My dad has that exact gun and he loves it. He has shot 12 ga for years and wanted something nice and light for upland hunting. It took him a year of saving up since he didn't want to buy it on credit, but he said the wait was worth it. Also when he bought it, Bullseye in Tacoma just happened to have a sale on all firearms (I think 10% off), so he saved on taxes. I think if you get it that you will have no regrets.
