Locating Rio's In Washington
« on: May 17, 2019, 02:01:22 PM »
As the 2019 turkey season is winding down I'm interested in finding a decent concentration of Rio turkey's in the state of Washington . My plan is to take my son ( he has already shot a Merriam and Eastern ) out in hopes of getting a bird even thought I am aware its late in the season . Even if i'm not successful , I can do some scouting for next year . According to a map I have seen on this forum it appears that a decent amount are in the south eastern corner of the state . Any help would be appreciated regarding public or private land access , lodging , etc etc . Thank you .

Lincoln county has a bunch of Rio's.  Plenty of patches of state land that hold a lot of birds.

Head over to the WDFW website and look up free to hunt and hunt by written permission for Lincoln county. If memory serves me there are several places listed.
