Clamming

I will be taking my two boys and my dad out on a charter going after salmon and rockfish July 8th.  We will be getting there a day, maybe 2 early since even I haven't been to the Washington coast before.  Wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction to try out some clamming while we are over there.  Ive read through the regs, hired a lawyer to interpret them for me as well .  I see the tide charts on their website, but I just don't have the slightest clue about clamming or even the names of and where the beaches are.  Any help would be great!  Thanks all

Ocean beaches Razor clamming will be over but in July there is a ton of low tides so maybe there is another option for oysters and steamers/manilla's on your way over. Those will be inland waters not sure of your route over but if you can swing by Hood Canal I can help you out

Im thinking about taking the weekend off for the razor clam dig in 2 weeks, but I doubt ill be able too.

I think bay clams in WA are kinda of secret.  Razor clams not so much.  Good luck.

WDFW use to have maps with descriptions and what clams are there.  All public including the boat in only ones.  Used that to find quite a few Goeduck the last few years.  I havent tried to navigate the new website yet.
