Happy fathers day elk killers!
« on: June 16, 2019, 12:20:54 PM »
Happy fathers day to all the dads that raised us right and to enjoy the outdoors with family and friends! I know I wouldn't be hunting today if my old man didn't introduce me to the sport and to get out enjoy nature, also some of the best memories are had when you spend time living and learning from the biggest hero a kid can have.

What I wouldn't give to spend a day with my dad. He died way too young in 1975. He was a WWII vet and prisoner of war. Only vacation he took every year up to the end was 2 weeks for elk season.

I am sorry for your loss.. I almost lost my dad to meningitis back 2008, he pulled through and has been hunting ever since but is slowly going down hill, with working out at Hanford for the past 35 years hes been exposed to a lot of different chemicals and we think its finally catching up to him. sadly I don't think to many more years for him to be hiking around the elk woods but I know he will still go to camp and enjoy time with us.

Time with him in the mountains is something I treasure.
