Montana deer
« on: June 12, 2019, 08:31:29 PM »
Got a Montana tag for the first time. Never hunted there before. Narrowed it down to somewhere within the Judith Gap area +/- 75 miles. Going on a scouting trip for a few days. Any advice on where to start? Camping areas? All suggestions welcome /info welcome.

I can give you a real good spot to hunt. I hunted it for years. Average 22-24 4x4’s. You’ll see about 40 - 60 bucks a day. Been hunting MT sense 96.

What tag or tags you got. For deer don’t go until the last 2-3 weeks of the season. Hunt the rut. It WILL make a huge difference on the deer you will see. I’ll give you all the info you need down to the roads and ridges. Again beginning of the season is best for elk the end of the season is definitely best for deer
