Catfishing tonight!
« on: June 22, 2019, 08:33:55 PM »
Taking a 13yo feller out tonight per his request. Pistol cleaned, cartridges cleaned and wiped dry (boat launch,Saturday night fishing, I know kinda sad huh?) Worms dug. Firewood, lantern, bug dope, chairs,Smores materials, airpot of coffee, fishing tackle (including rusty hooks) all loaded up. Haven’t fished for nightime catfish in 40+ years. I’m kinda pretty excited. Hope we catch some.

Good luck! Sometimes the adventure is enough even if the fish don’t cooperate.
There is not enough wilderness left in the world, or in the hearts of men.

Didn’t catch any catfish. Kinda windy. 😀 We quit about  1:30am. I was watching the young feller and he kept nodding off in the chair shortly after smores. Asked him if we were done and he said he could go all night! Had a few solid bites but we think our hooks were probably too small for our bait. It was a good night none the lesser .
