2019 Aladdin Moose Tag

I am a longtime hunter, first time poster here. I should have joined a long time ago.  A lot of informative and entertaining posts.

I was fortunate enough to draw a 2019 early Aladdin tag and I do know the area a bit. I’ve spent time deer hunting around Ione and I’ve seen moose in that general area. My dad drew the old Three Forks tag in 2009 that included Aladdin and was able to get a nice bull near Meadow Lake.

I am obviously pumped up for this hunt and will be spending at least the first two weeks of October there with my dad.

I’d love to be able to post some pics of a dead big bull this fall.

I did some scouting this past weekend and did see sign around Meadow Lake and Smackout Pass. No moose sightings though.

Any other spots to check out? Maybe I can send a big jug of Crown of your way if I connect on a big bull.

Good luck! My buddy and I will be in the Selkirk looking for 2 bull moose, I’ve been scouting since July and have only seen one bull, so do be discouraged.  The bio and locals have told me not to expect to see them scouting, we should start seeing them the closer our hunts get.  Best of luck to you on your OIL hunt, we can’t wait!
