Hey guys, on the high hunt this year i got into a bad spot coming down a mountain a different way than i went up, got cliffed out and ended up sliding my pack down about 10 feet, i didnt want to do that but i had to take it off because it was going to make me fall. Slid it down the near vertical rock to the next tree and it hit, spun, and tumbled down for at least 45 seconds i could hear it tumbling faster and faster, never did hear it stop, there were two other hunters way down below at the time this happened i could see their orange, i dont know if they heard it falling and picked it up? It took me another hour to get off that mountain but i searched until dark below that cliff and coundnt find it, searched all day the next, even rolled big rocks down to get an idea of trajectory... no luck, not even any yardsaled gear from falling. this happened about 2k feet above and south of domke lake in the GPW. It's a green mystery Ranch Glacier with a holster on the left side, a red tripod strapped to it, a Grundens rain jacket, in it there are 2 skinning knives, 10 rounds of .270wsm and various crap, life straw and socks i think. I was way above that cabin on the south side of the lake, not sure who lives there. If you found it or hear that someone found it, i figure i lost about $560 in that accident, id be very willing to pay a reward for someone carrying it out and reconnecting me with it.
