Good luck! There have been trucks in every turn-out for about a month now. Most dropped about 2 weeks ago but the spikes are still hanging on.

yeah last time i was there i seen 6 trucks with bino's just sitting and watching. not an elk in sight. i walked the entire field including the trees and knee deep in the marsh and there was not a shed to be seen anywhere at all. only a few sets of fresh tracks and not one drop if elk *censored* that was still green on the inside.
so either the elk had been gone for some time or just completely left the area for the winter...

Those elk are pretty much there only to breed. Yes they are there off and on but mainly to from aug-oct. The bulls are long gone by shedding time. You might find a spike or 2 pt out there but I would say not much bigger.

As I was heading back to Spokane yesterday, saw a dead bull elk in the median EB I-90 at the North Bend truck stop
. Couldn't count points as I was driving by but thought it looked branched

There were 20 elk up there on Friday evening. They were in a place you can't see from the main road. There were about 8 bulls including 5 spikes and a few rag horns. I think the largest was a 3 or 4 point. They all had their horns. I did see a few other huge bodied elk that may have been bigger bulls that shed. I didn't pay that much attention to it though. I'm told they are there every day...

there was a great bull in there late last summer you could commonly see from 202. he was a nice 6x6, and there was a couple raghorns too.

if i could only figure out those elk. i see alot of elk during the summer in the hancock tree farm. but as soon as hunting season rolls around they are nowhere to be seen.
i did see one opening day of modern firearm elk season one year. and it was a monster 7x7. an easy 330" bull maybe bigger. that was actually closer towards carnation...
as for the bulls there in north bend. ive seen some really nice bulls in there. 2 of them i seen one weekend and never again after that. but all other bulls were still in the herd
