Klickitat turkey scout
« on: April 03, 2009, 05:44:08 PM »
Was thinking to head over the Klick area for turkey scout in the morning. Might stay one night. Got room in the truck. Probably head out around 5 am from my place.

I was hiking around the lower breaks above the town of Klickitat and heard a gobbler making quite a fuss. Saw alot of guys scouting off of Fisher Hill road around cemetary.
Can't we all just get along?

I saw some turks this morning. I did not get eyes on any yesterday. They are moving around but the reports I have gotten from people is they are not very active yet. Saw a ton of deer too. Good scouting trip. Hope to return at the end of the month or early may. Apparently some turks were ready to attack the neighbors dog near Jerbear's house.

Ray, we did not see or hear any birds in the Klick on Sunday. Tried a bit south of where we were Saturday. We did see a tom as we left, down on the River... kids liked seeing it....

Jerbear, sorry we did not stop by again on Sunday.... we were definitely beat! It took me two of the biggest energy drinks to get home on!
