WAS thinking about taking my eight-year-old boy fishing the day after Christmas was hoping somebody could tell me if the ponds around Vantage or frozen or not

Not sure which ones you’re talking about at Vantage but the ones along the highway at Ellensburg are just about froze over. Last week there was just one little spot of Clearwater with about five fishermen crowded around it.

Thanks Hillhoun! My plan was Lake Lenice or Quincy lakes, but if we can't find any open water we'll probably head to Rocky Ford

I think fishing the ponds you are interested in would result in a ticket. Lenice and Quincy are both closed.
