I followed the GoHunt article on accuracy for muzzleloader advice for what is basically the same setup as the Williams Precision peep and hooded front sight package on my CVA Accura V2 (using a regular peep and Lyman globe front sight).  I painted the crosshair in the globe sight with Glow On glow-in-the dark gunsight paint.

Because it was before Williams figured it out and introduced this new package to capture that market.  This Williams Precision package would have simplified the work (especially for figuring out proper sight height), and would be my recommendation if you can wait out the backorder situation.

Of course, it became so popular that folks bought out the inventory and Williams is still shut down.  So it could be a long wait to get one.  I was going to buy one of these Williams Precision packages, and put on my buddies CVA Scout for him....but am concerned how long the backorder delays will be so may just go back to the way I did it on my Accura.

Anyone using the Williams precision muzzleloader sight?
yep it’s on my accura v-2 and it’s a game changer for sure paint the inserts with glow finger nail polish

I was thinking about trying something similar with mine, maybe a tiny white dot or something. Can hardly see the crosshairs

That stuff works well on the crosshairs on my setup.

FYI The Williams Precision sights are back in stock.  I placed an order, knowing it was backorder and thinking it would take a month or two to clear the backlog.  Nope.  Muzzle-loaders.com must have received a shipment that same day because my order was processed and shipped the next day.

That was fast. The William's Precision sights went from backorder last Thursday when I placed my order, to shipped on Friday, to at my door and on my rifle today.

For my CVA Accura I followed the GoHunt instructions of basically making your own front globe and crosshairs as this Williama Precision sight kit didn't exit then.  Put this William's Precision on a different CVA today.

This William's setup is SO much easier to install.  Two screws and a couple minutes to install. Far easier than the other method. So both muzzies have similar peep and globe with crosshairs setup. I have just the one Merrit adjustable peep insert so may need to pick up a second one of those.

Need to get some new GlowOn gunsight paint as mine has dried out. But otherwise quite happy with the simplicity of this Precision setup.

With pic, which wouldn't attach to prior post for some reason.

I bought pretty much every sight you can buy for my CVA Acurra and settled on the stock front sight and an Eabco peeprib https://www.eabco.net/PeepRib-Peep-Sights-for-CVA-Optima-Kodiak-Wolf-and-Accura_p_13910.html with the peep sight removed and replaced with a Williams ghost ring https://www.muzzle-loaders.com/optics/sights/williams-ghost-ring-sight.html. Doing this allowed me to have my rear sight just a little forward of the breech plug rather than 9 or so inches away like the stock sight is. Plus with the Eabco it is a rail as well, so if you wanted to throw on a scope you would always have that option.

I used the ghost ring at it was alright out to 75 yards but crap any farther. The Williams precision sight with the front hood is deadly at 100+ yards  as long as you paint the insert a bright color
