Spot Shrimp - Area 5
« on: May 26, 2020, 12:59:15 PM »
Been getting the urge to go out shrimping this weekend, but Area 6 opens Thursday and closes again until the first. We usually shrimp Area 6, but have a free day Saturday and are thinking about hitting up Area 5. Have fished Area 5 quite a bit, but never shrimped it. Can't seem to find any information online with anyone ever saying they've shrimped Area 5, which I find unbelievable, but possible. Has anyone shrimped Area 5 with any success? Not asking for specific areas, as we know the terrain the spot shrimp like, but curious if there are any shrimp to be had in Area 5 and if it's worth launching and dropping pots Sat morning?

Appreciate any insight!

Never been there but I wouldn't be surprised that not many people have.  You can always try, I've wanted to explore new places but with the short season I'm too chicken.
