Is there Pike in Mayfield? I was paddle boarding and saw a couple huge fish Uber my board. Looked like Pike

Yep that’s it. Everyone was fishing off of the shore. Saw one inside the log boom and the other just outside the swimming area.

Are they hard to catch?
Going back maybe the holiday weekend. Might try to fish off of my paddle board?

You will probably get extremely frustrated. But you may get extremely lucky too!

My sons and I hooked two while trolling Double Whammys with 1/3 night crawler threaded on both hooks for Rainbows. Both were around the corner and south of the boat ramp where a shallow finger extends out in the water.
Notice I said hooked not caught!

can catch them trolling. troll fast, top water BIG lures.. A lot of the shops around there have them, and yes they come with wire leaders. No luck myself, but a couple boats by us had it dialed in.
