Fir Is. Snow Goose Quality Hunt
« on: November 03, 2007, 11:32:15 AM »
Hi everybody. I saw under the "ID me" thread talk about the snow goose hunt on Fir Island. Who else received the tag for this hunt? I have week of Nov. 12, unit 4A.
Although I am not a new waterfowl hunter, I have not hunted snow geese before.
I do not have any snow goose decoys and can only hunt Friday and Saturday, Nov.
16th and 17th. What should I do? I am a member of the NW chapter of WWA. Maybe someone can provide the decoys and go with me?

Thanks, guys. I had planned on buying decoys, buy when my hunting buddy didn't get his permit, I thought I wouldn't go. Now, he did get a permit and I can't afford to buy any decoys anyway (according to my wife). I guess the four dozen or so duck decoys in the garage, looks like plenty to her! Oh well.
I'll give Rone a call. Hadn't thought about that, thanks.
