WA state 4-H Livestock judging contest

The 2020 State Livestock Judging Contest will be held virtually on October 3rd.
Members who are interested may apply to be on the state livestock judging team by emailing kim.baker@wsu.edu by midnight on Tuesday, September 22nd. Your email must include: your first and last name, email address, age on 10/1/19, and best contact information for you.
Kim will compile a list of interested parties to pass along to Livestock Judging Coach Marlin Newhouse. Marlin will contact interested parties to explain the next steps in determining the state team.
Some additional information you may find helpful in deciding if you are interested in this opportunity:
• The contest will be virtual and runs from 10 am to Noon. Reasons must be submitted by 2 pm.
• We can register 10 Intermediates and 10 Seniors for this competition.
• Youth will judge six livestock classes and give 3 sets of oral reasons, to be submitted via YouTube.
• Very specific instructions for oral reasons will be provided to you.
• If you have concern about connectivity or do not have resources available to you to participate virtually, let us know so we can help!
Again, if you are interested be sure to email kim.baker@wsu.edu by midnight on Tuesday, Sept 22.
