Had a big bodied 5×5 trying to mount several different cows in our field two nights ago. He was hot as could be but never made a peep. I was not calling just watching from about 40 yards. He even played himself out once and had to lay down for about 10 minutes and then he was back after the girls.

Been pretty active the last week in Eastern Oregon. This morning on my way into town to get some work done, I saw a 6 point bull elk with 4 cows cross the road and there happened to be a truck parked near where he crossed. Lucky hunter killed him this morning and had him all loaded up on my way back up the hill by mid morning.

Been hearing bugles all evening.

Still silent in my area of central cascades. Had a 6x7 come in quiet this morning. No noise in and calm as a cucumber. Had a herd of about 15 cows Friday night accompanied by a spike and no bulls
