Angela's New Toy
« on: April 16, 2009, 01:58:33 PM »
Put my new gun together today.
Put the scope on and sighted it in.

CZ 550 30-06 Luxus w/set trigger
Nikon Prostaff w/BDC 3-9x50
Warne High Rings

The husband started sighting it in, but look at my shot.
Shot really nice. I really like this gun.
Can't wait to shoot my first Wild Boar over here in Germany =)

It shot pretty nice. The set trigger's over here are cool.  the pictures dont do the fine wood stock much justice, the luxus model's are sweet.

I think I'll end up shortening the stock for her a little bit.

Good looking shootin' iron. I always preferred the wood stocks.

Is that rifle the mauser style like the 527? I have a 527 with the set trigger (which I find not necessary since the normal trigger is just fine) and it is a great shooter.
Good luck on the hogs.

Angelface-one shot, one kill. josh-7 shots, no hits. :yike: Whats up brother? :chuckle: :chuckle: Just kidding. Very nice shooter Angel. I have never shot pigs but sure want to, looks like a ton of fun. I was in Germany from 76-78, had a great time there, we ran into those pigs all the time, those little piggys are mean. We were on roving guard duty at a large ammo dump in the middle of the night, nothing but dark between the bunkers, a herd of those pigs came crashing thru the brush at us, bad mistake on their part, 4 m-16s full auto, scared the crap out all of us. sorry to ramble. good luck with that sweet new gun and kill one for all of over here.

geez louise be careful...thats a real pretty stock as is. maybe you could buy one that is not a lux and shorten that one...save this one for a sunny day or something.

beautiful gun, and love the caliber...good shooting.

thats an idea. It's still in debate. she says she doesnt have problems with it but you can see her strain a little.

I say if it is going to be her gun, and she is going to keep it for a long time have the stock cut down to fit her. Of course if you do not cut it that will make it easier for me to shoot it.  :chuckle:

My friend is in a class where you learn to make a rifle out of a hammer and chissel.  the first thing they teach you is how to make the hammer and chissel.  He should be able to shorten the stock with zero damage to the finish.

It really is a neat  class in austria.  It's free to the students, who usually get picked up by big firearm companies halfway through the school.

took the guns out agian today to make sure they are dialed in for the hunt this weekend. I must say, the wife out shot me with her new 30.06.

shots with federal power shock, sellier and belliot, and cheap surplus. this gun shot everything great.

the black circles are 2 inches. all shot by angelface at 100 meters(109 yards)
