Camp chef alpine and alaknak
« on: October 02, 2020, 06:54:03 PM »
I thought i researched enough but i just opened up my camp chef and measured the top pipe and its 6”. The base at the stove was 5”.  I never checked because ive read quite a few reviews with this stove being used in the alaknak (5”).  Can anyone confirm if the 6” camp chef chimney fits or not in the Alaknak

This is a great question, I have the same setup that I'm going to be using for the first time this year.  I hope that the taper will fit at the roof penetration.

Billy, I'm not sure if you have already done it or not, but make sure you do a pre burn to season the paint on the stove.  Mine smoked pretty good for quite awhile.

Ill do a test fit this weekend.  Im thinking the hole is a lot lower than i thought initially.  Looks like it will be the 2nd or 3rd section of pipe

The pipe will fit just fine, I put the smallest/first section on my stove, then I put
The rest of the pipe together outside the tent and feed it from the top, it will fit nice and snug and keep rain/snow from dripping down your pipe. The pipe gets bigger in diameter as it goes up
