I also found out that a clean bore is worth 150 – 200 fps

Personally before I sight my ML in I put one or two round through it to dirty it up. Otherwise you'd have to shoot one round. Clean it perfectly with solvent shoot another round etc. This would take all day. I've found that even if you punch your bore a few times the difference between a clean bore and a punched bore is still 2-3 inches.
