Looking for info on "Cerakote" ceramic coating for rifles.
« on: April 17, 2009, 09:14:50 AM »
Hey Team! I had really great feedback asking about Hogue stocks so I thought I'd post another question that's been plaguing me..... here goes:

I've seen a lot of high end sniper/hunting rifles wearing a ceramic coating called "Cerakote", and was wondering if anybody had feedback good or bad.  Or if there is a place in the WA that does this sort of gun coating.  I've been on a website but it looks as if they mostly cater to big military contracts and high volume custom gunsmiths.  Any ideas of costs? It looks tough as hell and I've got highly loved but overly used 300 win that the blueing is wearing through and I want to stop any more wear on it.  Thanks.

Check out 24hourcampfire.com.  There is a guy on there that does the Cerrakote.
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

Ok, I've a lot of time recently on that forum trying to find a McM stock.  Do you know what this guy's handle is?  Thanks!

His prices are actually not bad at all.  I may have to look him up when I want some finishing work done.
