There’s no question that deer numbers are down. I was going to say especially quality bucks, but the lack of DEER across the NE is becoming more and more obvious, too. The data is there, of course. I’ve never road hunted a day in my life but kind of look forward to doing it in my upper years, to be honest. Right now, it’s not for me.
I enjoy public / feel free to hunt opportunities and am more concerned with losing that opportunity and my right to bear arms/hunt (exist) than I am with categorizing or dividing legal hunter groups. Please know that I am not suggesting anyone here has attempted to do that. I stand by my original post but can absolutely appreciate all of the viewpoints… trust me.
As I type, I’m reminded that our Emperor has decided to AGAIN, shut down businesses and initiate tyrannical measures across the State. This sort of thing, like 1639, and what’s to come, is MY focus.
As Sportsmen, we need to police ourselves, especially right now. LEO’s don’t need to be dealing w/ some of the BS mentioned in this thread. They obviously have enough to deal with. The Mountain usually takes care of itself when it comes to violators.
